Hooray!
This is the aptly named Bombshell Swimsuit pattern by Closet Case Files. It really is the most flattering pattern for a swimsuit ever. It looks good on everyone. I being a member of everyone jumped on board and made one too last summer and finally took photos of it while on vacation in South Africa. I chose a vintage looking tropical print to play up the style which I'm quite pleased with. I made view A and added cups for a bit more support. The cup shape is a bit pointy but I think actually ends up working very well with this style of suit as it matches the vintage vibe. At first I felt a bit self conscious and costume-y in this suit but it's very fun and then that's the whole point so I got over it. The ruching took a ton of time to do but is worth it as it is the key to how flattering this style is. There are a lot of steps but the instructions are so clear and detailed that someone with no experience sewing a swimsuit could put this together. Not much else to say really, other than that this really is the ultimate swimsuit for a confidence boost on a day when you're going to the beach and not feeling your best.
Hooray!

I showed Moeno this suit, and she said, "that's REALLY cute." Nice work! The butt ruching is especially nice

Yeah, she is, but her wrists are still bad, so she has to go slow

This is a fabulous looking swimsuit! I think the retro look is especially flattering on you. The finished suit shows that the extra time spent was clearly worthwhile. If you make it again(you should) it will likely be easier.
